As of its wide release, Casey Affleck is not listed among the cast of the 2024 thriller R.I.P., which stars Ryan Phillippe, Anna Sawai, and Ritchie Coster. Directed by Curtis Gans and produced by Grindstone Entertainment, R.I.P. is a standalone follow-up to the 2021 film Wrongfully Accused, and Affleck does not appear in any verified cast or crew listings, press materials, or trailer content. The confusion may stem from Affleck’s history with similarly titled projects, but available cast records and studio sources confirm his absence from this release.

How This Rumor Might Have Started
Confusion linking Casey Affleck to R.I.P. may arise from several factors: the title’s brevity echoing thematic elements in his past work, misattributed photos or set reports, and overlapping release windows with similarly named films. Social media posts and speculative forums sometimes conflate Affleck’s name with upcoming genre titles, but these claims lack primary-source confirmation from studios or guild records.
Why Cast Listings and Sources Matter
In modern film marketing, cast and crew data come from vetted sources such as studio press kits, IMDbPro production notes, SAG-AFTRA filings, and official distributor announcements. When a notable actor like Casey Affleck is absent from these channels, it strongly indicates they are not involved.
