Growing up in Alexandria and attending West Potomac High School gave Lyles access to competitive high school meets, regional track clubs, and consistent coaching. These early environments are critical for developing technique, racecraft, and discipline. Relationship Between Hometown And Training Locations
For many elite athletes, especially in track and field, there is a distinction between where they grew up and where they train. Lyles maintains ties to Alexandria and Virginia while basing much of his training in Florida for climate and facility advantages. This pattern allows athletes to benefit from optimal training conditions while staying connected to the communities and programs that launched their careers.
