Where is the World Series being played in 2025?
The World Series will be held at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California, home of the San Francisco Giants. The 2025 schedule is set for October 21–28, and both participating teams will be decided by the League Championship Series winners. - Authorized partners: StubHub and SeatGeek, with protections via the official TicketExchange guarantee.
Understanding the modern World Series format
The World Series is a best-of-seven playoff between the American League champion and the National League champion. The league pennant winners earn home-field advantage in Games 1, 2, 6, and 7, while the other team hosts Games 3, 4, and 5. This format rewards consistent performance over seven games and shapes travel and viewing plans.
| Game | Home team | Venue | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1, 2 | AL champion | AT&T Park (if AL team has home-field) | Early series; weekday or weekend |
| 3, 4 | NL champion | AT&T Park (if NL team has home-field) | Middle series; weekend or late weekday |
| 5, 6, 7 (if needed) | Alternate per game advantage | AT&T Park or opponent park | Late series; flexibility for scheduling |
Planning to attend in person
Travel and lodging in San Francisco should be booked early, as World Series dates can overlap with other city events. Expect higher demand and prices for hotels near AT&T Park, and confirm game-day traffic and transit plans with local guidance. Check weather forecasts for October in San Francisco and pack layers, as evenings can be cool even in late fall.
Staying up to date without speculation
Because the participants are not yet known until the League Championship Series concludes, details beyond venue and series dates remain tentative. Rely on official MLB channels, the Giants communications, and verified ticket partners for announcements on opponents, exact game times, and on-sale windows. This approach avoids rumor-driven plans and keeps expectations aligned with confirmed information.
